Keeping the blogosphere posted on the goings on of the world of submarines since late 2004... and mocking and belittling general foolishness wherever it may be found. Idaho's first and foremost submarine blog. (If you don't like something on this blog, please E-mail me; don't call me at home.)
I applaud the admirals' effort at getting with the times, but they don't understand blogging. Their entries are basically speeches, and are unreadable and boring as such. Canned, artificial party line.
If they want people to actually read their writing, they need to get more personal, and turn down the "party line" a notch.
Unfortunately for them, I've already cornered the market on the "where's the most diabolical place you've ever left a steaming bag of poop when you turned over to the other crew" discussions.
Neither of these Admirals are "party line" guys. Any man who ever served with them would say the exact same thing, Enlisted or Officers. Our Submarine Force most likely has never had two better men serving as Admirals of LANT & PAC at the same time. So respect what they have accomplished. Just sayin...
We Midshipmen like to know what we are going to be facing in a few years, and with all the tumult in politics and the uncertain future, it is doubly important. With that in mind, I truly hope that the submarine fleet maintains its strength during these painful cuts.
Not sure if any action will come out of it, but the fact that Admiral Richardson is up for comment via blog, speaks volumes to his genuine willingness to hear from the fellas. I know that he is busy but this is still a greater effort to give direct response to the fleet than any recent I've seen. His approach was well recieved on the crew, though I did tell my division be respectful and no fart jokes...they are still sailors mind you.
BZ to COMSUBFOR and thanks for the opportunity to continue to serve.
Important blog having interested information. Few times we ignore this sort of things & also suffer a lot as well. How ever we all can save a lot with the assistance of these all tips.
I sincerely hope that Midshipmen continue to post on those blogs.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm impressed in the fact that the comments were actually read and answered by the Adm. I hope this blog is a success.
ReplyDeleteThe, "and answered by the Adm." - Maybe?? Maybe approved, maybe??
ReplyDeleteThe Admiral (Richardson) give a very insprired message today. Congrats to all the new Chiefs.

Keeping the surface/dive ratio at 1 - CPO
To the midshipman" Walk right over to Bancroft and ask the Dant, who happens to be an 1120.
ReplyDeleteBH@3:12 Your statement is paraphrased from the mouth of Alice Cooper, 1975. You should cite others work.
