"Navy Log" Now Free!

The Navy Log, maintained at the U.S. Navy Memorial, is a place for current or former Sailors to enter their service information into a searchable database. Until very recently, it required a $25 "processing fee" to put your information into the database; this probably turned a lot of people off. But now, for the next six months, "all members and veterans of the Sea Services – active duty and reservists – are able to enroll in the U.S. Navy Memorial’s Navy Log without charge and without any obligation".

This'll be a good chance for all the veterans out there to get their data put into the database... do it for your great-great grandkids who will be working on a school report on a "famous ancestor" in 2100!

Going deep...
