New Walt Minnick YouTube Ad Features Local Retired Submarine Officer
Check this out:
Anyone other than me think their voice sounds a lot different when you hear it on a recording than it does when you hear yourself speaking?

ENG,
Your cover is blown. BTW, your voice sounds the same. Enjoy your website. Derek Murray

Your voice resonates inside your head. Your ears, being inside your head perceive it as much richer and more vibrant than others hear it.
I hate hearing my recorded voice. I always think, "Gee, is that really me?" and realize why I never made big, easy money as a radio announcer, like Gary Owens or Don Pardo.

Way to be active! Yes, one's voice sounds different when heard from outside the skull, but you sound good from here.

I agree the ad was good, but....
Joel, dude! It's time to think about a self-imposed PRT program!
Nice job though!

Joel,
You sound the same as you did back in the day. It is good to see you working for the cause.

Actually, I have lost about 15 pounds since they shot this video; gave up sugared soda and the weight just flew off. They say the camera adds 10 pounds; I'm just hoping I had like 5 or 6 cameras aimed at me. :-)

It would appear that Mr. Minnick is well represented in his upcoming Congressional bid. It was nice to see a fellow Airman speaking up for him as well.
Yeah, hearing one's own voice on camera or on a recorder can be a drag. I once had to be video taped in a deposition (An investigation for a fire on the flightline that I saw and called in at Barksdale AFB) when I was in my late teens as a young senior Airman. When I revied the tape later on, I couldn't believe that I sounded like I was about 14 years old at the time...Lol.
I have to agree that's fairly rattling to hear one's own voice on tape.
Thanks,
SSGT J. Casey

I sing in the shower and wonder why I haven't been discovered. Then I discover that my wife taped me singing in the shower and 'mystery solved'.
