Christmas Wishes
I hope all of you and yours have a great Christmas season, and that Santa was able to make it to your home or boat, like he did for the Miami in this picture from earlier this month:

Keeping the blogosphere posted on the goings on of the world of submarines since late 2004... and mocking and belittling general foolishness wherever it may be found. Idaho's first and foremost submarine blog. (If you don't like something on this blog, please E-mail me; don't call me at home.)

Interesting... if you click the link for the picture, then click the link to download the hi-res version, some interesting details emerge...
The pilot of the left tub appears to have his feet up in the window. And the boat has lost some tiles in an odd pattern on the sail. One of the JOs on the deck looks like he isnt wearing a flotation vest, but rather it looks more like a flack vest.

Lines doubled, civilian tugmaster, sure he's getting paid a butt ton to ensure the boat stays up against the pier no military bearing required on his or the tugs part. Keeping the SHT intact during a deployment is a constant battle. Nothing unusual about he pattern. JO topside wearing a vest, probably some SUBASE NLON requirement. The question is, why did her deployment get extended 2 months? Things that make yo go hmmmm...
