If It's On The Internet, It Must Be True!

There are reports that Sen.-elect Rand Paul is spending $8 trillion on his transition expenses! Super cereal!

As I understand it, the exchange rate is about 44.120 Rupees to one dollar. I'm guessing somebody just got their numbers wrong. At that exchange rate 200 million Rupees is a little over 4.5 million dollars. $4.5 million dollars per day is probably a little closer to being on the mark.

But then I'm just a pore ol' high school drop out from Kitsap County.

I work with a guy who got extraordinarily angry when I told him that Snopes called BS on an e-mail he showed me. He said, "Snopes is just two people who don't know shit! They ain't no experts on nothin', so I ain't gonna believe nothin' they say!" Nor would he accept Wikipedia as a reputable source. He would, however, take as gospel the anonymous chain e-mail.

The e-mail, by the way, was the one claiming that Mr. Rogers was an Army Ranger who had killed dozens in Vietnam, and wore long-sleeved sweaters to hide his Army tattoos.

@ YNC: Critical thinking and math are hard; believing sensational news stories is a lot easier.
