Provo, UT Girls
I have two boys in Provo -- one at the Missionary Training Center, another who is finishing up the semester at BYU and reports to the MTC next month.
For anyone who doesn't think us Mormons can't laugh at ourselves, check out this video:

Funny video. Thanks.

This video is too funny! We had a Mormon on my last boat who wore the undergarments and I remeber him telling me about Utah girls.

That...WAS AWESOME. I'm linking that on Facebook for my old mission companions! And congrats on your boys in the Empty Sea. :)

I went to prototype in Idaho, and I remember the Mormon girls looking to hook up and move on.

What's that? You mean Mormon girls actually put out? Are the allowed to talk dirty too?

All girls put out, it is in their DNA.

Hopefully your kids don't get Germany. A friend who is Mormon got sent there and he turned into the biggest cynic.

Would like to see this type of youthful spirit spread to other religions. Obviously LDS instills a robust honesty that may reveal why it is growing while others wane.
When young Muslim women can be as honest about their matrimonial prospects without penalty of death, a societal drag will have be lifted (pun intended).
Catholic women may have probably produced an unsanctified (of course) video in the same vein.
Anyone have it? If honest, it would be entertaining.

They're going to northern Chile and Romania.

Why? Don't you worry about their personal safety? Why don't they go off to college or immediately join the navy as an E2 or E3? Their intent and mission is nothing more than a voyage of the damned and a waste of time. Europe is way too open minded to deal with Mormons.

Bill,
No, I don't worry about their personal safety, any more than I would here in the States. You'd be surprised at how many "open-minded" Europeans belong to the Church. As far as what these two young adults do with their lives, it's pretty much up to them. Maybe you belong to a tradition that controls their children past their 18th birthday -- I don't. (Since you can't seem to read, note that one of the boys -- a National Merit Scholar -- did in fact go off to college first.)

Loved the video! Don't know if it's due to your link, but it's going viral - over 340,000 views now; when I first saw it from your link it was only barely above 100K.
This troupe is a credit to BYU and the LDS church, if anything because they clearly don't take themselves too seriously and can laugh lightheartedly at themselves.

I sent the link to a number of my co-workers and friends. It was a fun-filled video.
What's not to like about independent sons exploring foreign cultures vice living in a parent's basement?
Just living in those two countries is a valuable education in itself, and maybe Chile is better run by their government than ours is today.
More on topic for this blog, has anyone operated with the Scorpène class submarines during UNITAS?

Although the LDS religion is a bit cult like, I do like the fact that they are conservative and white!

So, I do not really imagine this is likely to have success.
