Now We Know Why Military Drug Testing Started
You've gotta check out this article, a 2000 reprint of what was purportedly a 1979 concept paper by an Army Lieutenant Colonel about the possible advantages of a "New Age" Army. Here's his idea for a possible battle scenario the proposed "First Earth Battalion" might find itself in:
"They parachuted in that morning and stood in a long line facing each opposing army. The Earth Battalion satellite above beamed this image to the globe. The Earth watched as this potential catastrophe awaited the conscience of one of the two [rival] army leaders to set. For they would have to bloody the Earth Battalion people in their path before they could attack -- and the world would know."
They must have had some real good drugs back in the late 70s...
Going deep...

I guess that ossifer knew about the drugs...but he did get one thing right about satellites and the world knowing.
The part he missed was it was Geraldo reporting it.

YGTBSM...This officer wasn't smoking dope, he was doing some very mellow Purple Haze, whilst nibbling on prime mushrooms, and listening to "Dark Side of the Moon" for the 1,000th time when he wrote this drivel. I wonder how far up the chain of command this got before someone got this moonbat to a nice post like penguin counting officer.
