TV Show Character Blogs
After DeepDiver recommended that I check out a character blog from one of his favorite shows, I started looking around to see what other character blogs there might be from TV shows we watch here in the Bubblehead house. Here's what I found:
- "NCIS" is one of those shows like "JAG" where they portray military people as unintentionally humorous stereotypes, but it's still entertaining. Our favorite character is the goth-girl tech weenie; the actress that plays her has her own blog on the show's website. It's not a character blog per se; the actress blogs as herself about what goes into the making of the show.
- We really like the new game show "Deal or No Deal". Not only is Howie Mandel a really good host, but they also feature attractive models, for those who are into that sort of thing. (Don't worry, SubBasket, I only watch the show for the human interest stories.) One of the more interesting twists of this game is that the contestants are offered money to quit the game by "The Banker", who we never hear, or see except in a darkened booth. The only stuff you can find out about the character comes from the blog he maintains at the show's website. It's not very interesting, but it seems pretty popular, since each of his entries has over 200 comments.
-- Lastly, I've continued to watch the HBO show "Big Love"; I don't really want to, but I have to continue monitoring for any anti-Mormon slurs, you see. (So far, they're not doing too badly.) The youngest wife, Margene, does a pretty good job updating her character's blog, which is really the only one of these three that is strictly a blog written from the point of view of a character who doesn't know she's on a television show.
Some other character blogs are listed here; I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of these soon. What we really need more of, though, are blogs written from the point of view of inanimate objects. Someone should start a submarine blog written by a submarine...

Sure he doesn't watch "Deal or No Deal" to see the low cut dresses or BIG breast models on the show. I know why he watches this show to see them every other day. You all know what this means. Yes, you know where I am going. Another Longaberger Basket for the house of course.LOL
