Santa's On His Way

As always, you can track Santa's progress at the NORAD Santa Tracker; when I just checked, he was in Cambodia. They have some new videos this year (the one of his visit to China features the "Bird's Nest"); hopefully, he'll visit the boomer in the Atlantic like he does every year.

Update 2107 24 Dec: Unfortunately, it looks like they've gotten rid of both the traditional visit to the SSBN, and they also didn't have Santa visit an aircraft carrier this year.

Santa has also not been seen at Incirlik Air Base Turkey, Barksdale AFB, Lackland AFB, or at Forbes Field Topeka KS this Christmas Eve.

I'm guessing Santa is late in getting underway tonight...perhaps he has a few extra stops to make before tomorrow. If we'd known this before hand, I'm quite certain a C-130 or a KC-10 could have been dispatched to help him out. I would also think a great many USN subs would be willing to help Santa get from coast to coast in an expeditious fashion.

Merry Christmas, Joel.
