Do You Nukes Ever Miss Your Tiny Little Di...?

For all you out-of-the-Navy nukes out there who are missing having that black and grey plastic friend riding on your belts, here's a blast from the past.

Didn't remember the five-sided Allen wrench oolie? Forgot what the accident dosimeter was made of? This page can bring back all those bad nightmares for ELTs who thought they'd had their last monitored TLD read...

Going deep...

You really need to turn on the word verification... :)

I thought it funny that the page linked said "circa 1970's"...considering there is one of those very TLD's on my belt right now!

:) Up with the times, the Navy is...

A couple nights ago I had 6 spamments on one post... it's getting to be a pain, so I think the word verification might be a good idea...

There's no chips off that crystal! Are you sure that's a Navy TLD????? My ELTs could never find one without a tiny chip in it. I think it was how they marked the ones they wanted me to observe them reading.

I always feel at home when I visit your site, bubblehead. Now I just need the 60 cycle hum in my ear to go to sleep.
