Anti-Israel Protest In Berlin -- Now With Blood Libel!
Normally, the Germans are fairly sensitive when it comes to anti-Jewish protests -- unless, apparently, the protesters are Muslim. Check out this Reuters report about anti-Israel protests in Berlin yesterday. An excerpt:
Several thousand people in Berlin protested against Israel's bombing campaign in Lebanon on Friday, joining angry protests across the Middle East this week.I was fairly surprised that they let the "Israel drinks the blood of our children" sign go, considering how much that sounds like the old Muslim (and Christian) slander that "Jews use the blood of non-Jewish children for Purim pastries" and other blood libel stories. Maybe the Germans are getting a little too tolerant of anti-Jewish demonstrations...
"Israel drinks the blood of our children," said one of the posters carried by a demonstrator draped in a Lebanese flag in the German capital...
...The rally took place at Adenauerplatz, a square in western Berlin. Hundreds of police in riot gear cordoned off the demonstration. They frisked people who wanted to enter. There were no visible clashes between demonstrators and police...
...Among the demonstrators were families, with mothers wearing head scarves and children carrying flags. One woman carried a small child clutching an Israeli flag with a red circle around the star of David and a red line through it.
Berlin has a large Muslim community. There are more than 3 million Muslims in Germany, most of them of Turkish origin.

Obviously, some Germans may need "sensitivity" training and militant Muslims also require "anger management" help.
If we toss our current Republican leadership, there is a good chance the compassionate nuance folks will propose just that as a more humane and cost-effective alternative to counter-terrorism activities such as the wars in Afghanistan (the "poppy protectorate") and Iraq.
I can see it now... the "Meditation Corps"... youthful, paid volunteers who enter Islamic villages to teach peaceful techniques for dealing with centuries of inbred hatred, gratuitous violence, and unbridled anger.
Which progressive candidate(s) will announce such wise, experience-based solutions? Hmmm.

Actually, the German's have had so much "sensitivity" training, they're afraid of offending the Muslims, even in the face of blatantly illegal anti-Semitic speech. Just as we are here in America. If we don't screw up enough courage to fight these ratbastards, and quick, we're going to be the ones having our throats slit, and heads cut off next. The Republicans are paralyzed, and won't do anything, unless we scream loud enough, and I mean really, really loud, and then it's too late kind of loud. And the Dems will do just as Anonymous said, try the whole Kumbahya-hug-a-tree thing. Then get their throats cut. If we're smart, we need to start screaming now.

Sadly the simple difference between right and wrong, which is actually simple is getting clouded by the lense of the media.
Truth is, that if NYC were getting shot at by 100 or more missiles per day, all hell would break loose. Heck even 2 or 3 missiles landing in NYC would be followed by a rather enormous response.
Yet the people of Isreal are supposed to just put up with it.
