Navy NewsStand has a picture from the commissioning ceremony of USS Hawaii (SSN 776). Not surprisingly, the whole crew is (are?) wearing leis:

With the new immigration reform bill in the works, it's more like "Hey everyone, were all going to be scr#wed" ... ;)

Wow, as a sub sailor in the 70's and 80's i missed out on all those medals. All I got was a PUC for _uck and a MUC for another, plus the old GCM not even an NSM for those who defended the world from thousands of commie missiles.
