USS Connecticut Returns From Deployment

My old boat, USS Connecticut (SSN 22), returned from a six month deployment earlier this week. According to SUBPAC, the boat "...successfully completed two missions and one major inspection, and conducted liberty port calls in the Philippines, Guam, and Japan."

You can click here to find lots of great pictures of the homecoming from the Kitsap Sun.

Welcome home, guys!

Philippines? That is good news. I wonder how many of those good old christian boys and faithful husbands were getting cherries popped and ripping and tearing?

Now that's the real Navy!

Maybe they will get a MUC for their participation in operations to combat illegal fishing.

Congratulation on completing GUAMPAC 2010. I'm happy for all the dad's on board that got to see their babies for the first time. What a feeling. Enjoy whatever standdown time you can get.

Enjoy your stand down from deployment and enjoy your stand down from that COB even better. Maybe morale will finally be restored to the MMCM Crisman days.

Man, we never get the Navy Band NW when we return from deployment on the 23. Of course, we get to wear utilities instead of blues, too. I guess I'll take that trade.

Whoever said maybe moral will be restored to the Crisman days, I say not likely. Kevin Crisman was a great leader who I would love to have the chance to work for again and is a rare breed. As far as his replacement, Rob Enquist was his name and he was the most clueless P.O.S. the navy could have appointed to the job. Remember guys life gets better, stay strong and good luck.

By the way, anyone know what Crisman is up to these days?
