Navy Independence Day Tribute 2011
Keeping the blogosphere posted on the goings on of the world of submarines since late 2004... and mocking and belittling general foolishness wherever it may be found. Idaho's first and foremost submarine blog. (If you don't like something on this blog, please E-mail me; don't call me at home.)
I'm Joel Kennedy -- a married, 50-something year old retired submarine officer and esophageal cancer survivor with three kids who has finally made the transition to civilian life. Politically, I'm a Radical Moderate. (If you don't like something on this blog, please E-mail me. Don't call me at home.)

Good video, concluded with that terrible new slogan at the end. Makes me cringe every time.

"A Global Force for Good" makes you cringe? I like it. It says everything; We are a global force and we are here for good. Like it or not.
Gay video. Reminds me of the shit that was spewed immediately after 911. Every swinging dick with PowerPoint put a show together to make us feel good about having our asses handed to us.
Don't get me wrong, I am all for promoting the U.S. Navy (flyovers at NASCAR events, etc.) but another .pps with voice-over music? Gay.
Show Bin Laden getting a cranial lead makeover, or something like that. At least make it look like the Navy still has a pair.
