Submarine IDC Videos
A Submariner posted a video he'd come across on the Facebook page for TSSBP; it appears to be the official video they show to HM students introducing them to the Submarine Independent Duty Corpsman job. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to be on YouTube (yet).
For those of you without Facebook accounts, check out this video I was able to find on YouTube of the Doc on USS Montpelier (SSN 765):
(Not to be a spelling Nazi, but I am intrigued that an official Navy video managed to mis-spell Independent in the title.)

on a totally different note, those from the 05 year group who did not select for DH are apparently hearing about it right now, does anyone know the selection rate?
I have heard from 3 friends who didn't screen already. I didn't know of 3 people from 04 (my year group) who passed PNEO and didn't screen, never mind 3 I was friends with!

Ummm Yeah...
Can someone go ahead and explain to me why we're adding females to the watch bill? Does this mean I can no longer take my meals in the wardroom while still in a towel fresh out of the shower? I guess time management will have to be reconfigured in some cases.

The IDC may not be the only one to see the new female forces naked, but he will probably be the first.

skin-e-max should do a raunchy, adult-themed, submarine series involving women, gays, and neanderthals in a sub. Think Operation Petticoat meets voyage to the Bottom of the Sea (no pun intended) for the 21st century. They could call it 20,000 licks Under the Sea or something and ge tthe "Hey shipwreck" guy to write it.
It would be completely BS of course and the plots would be thinner than a Victoria's Secret Nighty but we'd all probably watch and laugh.

The smell of underway is almost a non-issue. There were some guys on the boat that made skank smell like roses. . . and that is not to mention the smell of blowin' shitters. Female smells will be the minor problem. Wait 'til everyone figures out how "left brained" they are.

anon@0843, Eeewww!!! Reminds me the time I got on a 747 in L.A. that had just flown in from Paris and was continuing to Honolulu. It smelled like the air coming up the fwd escape trunk after a 66 day spec op. with a little bit of an extra tang to it...
Nasty was the word that first came to mind, and then after the second breath, it was "I know that smell".
